Being a huge fan of great architecture, we have found that we truly enjoy designing in all the varied styles the world has to offer. For traditional homes based on European, East Coast, and indigenous California vernaculars, the challenge is to capture the true essence of the style through the simplicity of their forms, accuracy of the proportions, honesty of the materials, and the intricacy of the details. Modern and contemporary architecture pose similar opportunities, but with the added excitement of creating something entirely new and unique to the site.

In all cases, we draw heavily from the site, local climate, and regional architectural character, in order to make sure the home harmonizes with it's surroundings and feels like it "wants to be there". With our careful attention to our clients' wants and needs, infusing each project with our passion for ecological sensitivity and green building, and our relentless obsession for detail, make for a home that you will love (and that will love you back).
